Regarding verse 27, we see that verses 27-20 are dealt with by Matthew and Mark on this very same subject. All three of them together give you a very broad idea of this. The blessings that the disciples then and Jesus’ disciples today share is the tribulation that goes along with the joy we have in serving Him. The greatest reward is the reward in heaven which brings eternal life.
